Dr. Larry and Deloris Johnson Scholarship

The Dr. Larry and Deloris Johnson Memorial Scholarship is available from the University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation for a sophomore or junior student pursuing a degree in elementary or middle school education with an emphasis in mathematics.
This scholarship is a tribute to Dr. Larry K. Johnson. Dr. Johnson taught mathematics and mathematics education at UCM from 1963 until his death in 1999. He was instrumental in the development of many of the courses incorporated in the departments Mathematic Minor for middle school majors. He was an enthusiastic teacher, and frequent speaker at professional conferences throughout the United States on topics related to mathematics for special education. This scholarship, for a student pursuing the Mathematics Minor, was established by Dr. Johnsons widow Deloris, their five children, and other family members and friends.
