Darlene Mawson Helman Scholarship

The Darlene Mawson Helman Scholarship is available through the University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation for a junior or senior student pursuing a degree in Music Education. Student must have a 3.0 overall grade point average and a 3.5 in Music, demonstrate performance competence in Choral Music and Piano and demonstrate leadership in Music Education activities. First preference will go to students planning to teach at the upper elementary, middle school and/or high school levels. Preference shall also be given to students who meet ALL criteria; however the selection committee may nominate a candidate who meet two of the three requirements if no candidate meets all. This gift is made possible by Dr. L. Marlene Mawson to honor her twin sister Darlene.
