Dama Cooper Police Academy Scholarship

The Dama Cooper Police Academy Scholarship is available through the University of Central Missouri Foundation for a fully admitted student in good academic standing, pursuing police training at the Central Missouri Police Academy. This scholarship is made possible by way of gifts made by the Dama and Glenda Sue Cooper Trust. Applicants from the general public are welcome. Acceptance to the Central Missouri Police Academy includes enrollment as a UCM student, and makes the student eligible to apply for this scholarship. Student should demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in local law enforcement work. Local law enforcement includes municipal and county levels, within any state.

  1. Have you been interviewed and accepted in to the Basic Academy Program by the Central Missouri Police Academy Director?
  2. Complete a brief statement (a minimum of 200 words) of your professional goals, including areas of intended career focus as they relate to the parameters set forth in this scholarship? (Decisions are based and awards are offered to those individuals who meet the specific scholarship parameters. You cannot cut and paste the same answer from question #12 in the General Application portion as it will not be accepted.)
