Jerome M. Sattler Award in Psychology
The Jerome M. Sattler Award in Psychology is available through the University of Central Missouri Foundation for a student pursuing a degree in psychology at UCM. This award is made possible by way of a gift from Jerome M. Sattler of La Mesa, California.
Application forms for the Jerome M. Sattler Award in Psychology may be obtained by contacting the Department of Psychological Science, Lovinger 1111, 660 543-4185, maford@ucmo. To submit your application, please complete the form, attach your research document, and submit it to the Department of Psychological Science office.
Four annual awards shall be funded by the Jerome M. Sattler Endowment in Psychology:
1. An award in the amount of $150 shall be available for the best UCM undergraduate poster or paper presented at the Great Plains Psychology Student Research Conference or any other recognized professional conference (i.e. APA, MPA, etc.) completed between April 1 and March 31. The author or authors must be students. Faculty names may not appear on the presentation. A minimum of three (3) submissions is required before the department may make an award.
2. An award in the amount of $100 shall be available for the best undergraduate research project completed as part of a psychology course (i.e., RDA, Special Project, etc.) completed between April 1 and March 31. A minimum of three (3) submissions is required before the department may make an award.
3. An award in the amount of $150 shall be available for the best UCM graduate poster or paper presented at the Great Plains Psychology Student Research Conference or any other recognized professional conference (i.e. APA, MPA, etc.) completed between April 1 and March 31. The author or authors must be students. Faculty names may not appear on the presentation. A minimum of three (3) submissions is required before the department may make an award.
4. An award in the amount of $150 shall be available for the most outstanding master’s thesis completed between April 1 and March 31. A minimum of two (2) submissions is required before the department may make an award. If the winning submission is completed between January 1 and December 31 of the same year, the student’s faculty advisor will submit the thesis to the annual Graduate Student Research Competition.
