Joseph F. Dolecki Economics Scholarship

The Joseph F. Doleci Economics Scholarship is provided by the UCM Alumni Foundation to provide scholarship support for a full-time student in good academic standing, be a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Economics, must self-identify as having an interest in quantitative or human behavioral aspects of economic sciences; Must have completed, or demonstrate intention to enroll in an “Econometrics”, or similar, course.

Econometrics is a course that focuses on the use of statistical techniques to help answer economics questions. Students must be enrolled for have the intention to enroll in one or more of the following classes:
Econ 4080 Econometrics
Econ 4075 Time Series Analysis
Econ 4085 Predictive Analytics
Econ 4090 Analytical Applications to Business

Students must also have an interest in quantitative or human behavioral aspects of economic sciences. Quantitative methods focus on examining data and using statistical techniques to analyze the data. The human behavioral aspects of economics refer to the fact that economics is the study of human behavior, not just the study of business.
