Sawyer-Stevenson Scholarship for International Experiences

The Sawyer-Stevenson Scholarship for International Experience is available through the University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation for a full-time student in good academic standing who has a declared major in International Studies or Modern Languages and completed a brief essay on how the study abroad experience will enhance your personal and professional goals. This scholarship was made possible by a generous gift from Dr. Michael Sawyer and Dr. Joy Stevenson.

Michael Sawyer and Joy Stevenson hold a common belief in the transformative power of international travel and exposure to other cultures. Both have made significant efforts in their careers to make study abroad and other international experiences more accessible to UCM students. This scholarship is intended to increase access for students in two programs for which study abroad is invaluable: International Studies and Modern Languages.
