Clarence Pearce Agriculture Scholarship

The Clarence Pearce Agriculture Scholarship is available through the University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation for a junior or senior student pursuing a degree in agriculture with a preference for students preparing for a career as an agriculture educator. This scholarship is made possible by way of generous gifts from family and friends in memory of Clarence R. Pearce.

Clarence Pearce was a professor at the University of Central Missouri for 34 years and was known by his colleagues, friends, and family as a warm, caring individual who developed special relationships with those around him. He was a man of optimism and deep faith and was often identified as the ultimate craftsman. Perhaps most importantly, however, Clarence was a consummate educator. He believed developing leadership skills in young people was vitally important and helped students develop and mature as individuals.

This scholarship is established as a tribute to Clarence Pearce, to the man he was and the life he lived, with the hope that those students receiving assistance from the scholarship may strive to develop the personal characteristics and ideals which were so important to him during his lifetime.

_ While the general application is not required to be eligible for this scholarship, completing it will significantly increase applicants’ chances of selection._
