Fred Worman Scholarship for International Agriculture
The Fred Worman Scholarship for International Agriculture was established with the University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation to benefit students with an interest in international agriculture and or sustainable agriculture. Students applying can be graduate or undergraduate, international or domestic student in good academic standing pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Science and be at least a junior level student; students should have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Students should demonstrate interest in the field of International Agriculture or demonstrate an interest Sustainable Agriculture. Preference will be given to international students first, with second consideration to domestic students if no international students meet the outlined criteria. This scholarship is made possible by way of a generous gift from Mrs. Mary Worman.
Dr. Worman retired from the University of Central Missouri with accomplishments that included nearly 16 years of sharing his expertise in agriculture and leadership with students, faculty, and community members. We all aspire to have his passion and love for agriculture. Because of Mary and Fred, agriculture students will continue to flourish by encouraging and enhancing their experiences. Most importantly, your scholarship helps advance the university’s mission and enables the next generation to make a positive economic, cultural, and social impact on our global society.
