Rita L. Youmans Scholarship in Home Economics

The Rita L. Youmans Scholarship in Home Economics is available through the University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation for a student pursuing a degree in Family Consumer Sciences. This scholarship is made possible by way of a generous gift from the Estate of Dr. Rita L. Youmans.

Rita L. Youmans received her B.S. in education from Central Missouri State Teachers College (UCM) in 1937, her master’s from Kansas State College in 1945, and her doctorate in education from the University of Illinois-Urbana, in 1957. Dr. Youmans was an associate professor at Central Missouri State Teachers College (UCM) from 1948 to 1952.
