Charles Dewey and Mabel Rose Courtney Fitterling Memorial Scholarship

The Charles Dewey and Mabel Rose Courtney Fitterling Memorial Scholarship is available through the University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation for full-time students in good academic standing demonstrate a strong interest in the sport of Volleyball, which may include but is not limited to participation on a UCM Volleyball team, and demonstrate a leadership role in extracurricular activities. This scholarship is made possible by way of a generous gift from Sarah Bailey ‘70.

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must complete the general application.

This scholarship is established in memory of Sarah R. Bailey’s grandparents, Dewey and Mabel Fitterling, who were lifelong Johnson County farmers. Mabel was employed by the University of Central Missouri for many years as the manager of South Yeater cafeteria and kitchen until health issues led to her retirement. Mabel enjoyed her time working for the University and strongly encouraged Sarah to seek employment there as well, which allowed her to fund this scholarship.
