Richard Phillips "Teaching Torch" Scholarship

The Richard Phillips “Teaching Torch” Scholarship is available through the University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation for full-time, Pell eligible students in good academic standing who are Missouri residents enrolled in the teacher education program in the College of Education.

After Richard’s passing in 2025, his family and friends established this scholarship in his memory so that his lifelong example of education and service may live on at the institution he loved, the University of Central Missouri, and inspire future teachers to join the profession.
